Seattle in Spring

Paradise and Longmire areas of Mt. Rainier National Park

You’ll be enveloped in a winter wonderland if you go snowshoeing on Mt. Rainier National Park, even if you go in March!

We took a trip to Seattle. We snowshoed. It was an absolute workout, but it was worth it.

Seattle is a kitschy little city with great seafood, booze, music, and coffee (if you’re thinking of Starbucks, don’t - there are way better coffee shops in the city aside from Starf*cks).

When you need to work off the chowder and the booze - head to Mt. Rainier via Evergreen Escapes, strap on some snowshoes, and FEEL THE BURN. We spent a couple of hours traipsing around the mountain, taking in the beauty of the pines peppered with snow. It was absolutely stunning scenery, the air was the crispest and freshest I’ve probably ever inhaled. I wish I could have bottled it and brought it back with me.

The tour company provided everything for us - all of the gear, all we had to do was dress warmly. They even gave us snacks and a little lunch. Our guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable and was very focused on keeping everyone safe. It was really hard work - but it was a great time and I would absolutely do it again.
